Office Depot Offers Reward Points for Recycling

Office Depot Inc.’s new rewards program includes earnings points for recycling electronic waste.

The Boca Raton, Fla.-based retailer said in a news release that customers may earn points in its new rewards program by recycling its ink and toner cartridges.

Members in the company rewards program will receive certificates for every thousand points they earn, either through shopping, connecting (providing information to Office Depot) or recycling.

The program began July 1.
