Officials in Brattleboro, Vt. are zeroing in on residential curbside collection options with Casella Waste Systems as the company moves toward an automated collection process.

Officials in Brattleboro, Vt. are zeroing in on residential curbside collection options with Casella Waste Systems as the company moves toward an automated collection process.

Brattleboro’s contract with Casella ended in June but the town has been going month to month with the company until both parties can work out a new agreement. The town is looking at two options, the first would see a focus on delivering landfill diversion services only, and the second would have Casella haul away trash and recycling every other week with organics dealt with weekly.

The town will look over the options on Tuesday.
