Red Willow County, NE Receives Household Hazardous Waste Grant

Red Willow County, NE will receive a portion of the State’s Waste and Litter Reduction, Recycling and Scrap Tire Grants.

The $351+ million grant will be used for the Household Hazardous Waste program to provide Central and Southwest Nebraska residents a safe, reliable means to recycle or dispose of household hazardous waste. In 2021, the program will collect approximately 200,000 pounds of household hazardous waste.

The program will provide an alternative to the disposal of solid waste in Nebraska’s landfills.
