The Western Australian State Government has awarded a grant to Livium to help with the building of an EV battery recycling plant.

The grant, worth roughly $850,000, was part of $10 million in funding available through competitive grant rounds. Livium was awarded the grant under ‘Stream 2,’ which is set for larger recycling infrastructure projects.

“This grant from the WA government represents a meaningful step forward in our mission to establish a sustainable national battery recycling ecosystem,” said Simon Linge, Livium CEO.

“WA’s grants seek to increase e-waste reuse, storage, collection, processing and recycling capabilities, creating jobs and supporting WA’s circular economy.”
