Compost Company Q2Earth Adds New Members to its Board of Advisors
These new board members have experience in the waste management, organics recycling, and finance sectors.
Q2Earth Inc. announced in connection with its plans to expand operations into the compost and soil manufacturing business, including the acquisition of leading companies in this space, that it has added five new members to its board of advisors.
These new board members have experience in the waste management, organics recycling, and finance sectors.
Ross M. Patten brings more than 35 years of executive experience in the waste industry to the board. Most recently, Patten served as chairman and CEO of Agilyx Corp., a producer of hydrocarbon products from mixed-waste plastic materials. Patten is the former chairman and CEO of Synagro Technologies, a publicly-traded processor of sewage sludge. Patten also held executive leadership positions with Browning Ferris Industries and Wheelabrator Technologies.
Joe Vaillancourt is the founder and managing partner of Venture Enterprises, and recently retired from a 15-year tenure with Waste Management. Most recently Vaillancourt was the vice President, corporate venturing at WM where he was one of the founding members of the group responsible for developing innovative growth platforms in the environmental, sustainability, solid waste, recycling, energy and cleantech sectors.
Dave Barrett is presently the managing director of Venture Enterprises. Previously, Barrett held several positions in financial subsidiaries of Ford Motor Co., including vice president capital equipment and vice president municipal financing of U.S. leasing and assistant vice president of Ford Financial Services.
Alvin Thomas is the founder of General Counsel Consulting Solutions (GCCS) located in Houston. Through GCCS, Thomas serves on the board of directors or as the general counsel for several companies in the fields of renewable energy, technology, waste-to-energy, waste handling, oil & gas and wastewater treatment. Previously, Thomas served a 10-year tenure as executive vice president, secretary and general counsel of Synagro Technologies Inc.
Jeff Lipton has worked as an investment banker over the past 20 years advising a diverse range of clients on capital raising and M&A transactions. He is currently a managing director at Mitsubishi UFJ Finance Group (MUFG) in their corporate advisory group. Prior to joining MUFG, Lipton was with Jefferies where he started and led the cleantech and renewable energy investment banking effort.
