GreenRock Acquires European Technology for E-Waste Recycling

GreenRock Rare Earth Recovery Corp. and its partner, Creative Recycling Technologies, have acquired a technology for the recovery and recycling of rare earth elements from electronics.

The Tampa, Fla.-based partners bought the BluBox Rare Earth processing technology, developed and manufactured by the Swiss company  Blubox Trading A.G. GreenRock has exclusive rights in the United States to the technology, which it said in a news release is the best available technology for such efforts in the world.

Now used in Europe, the BluBox technology separates and recovers the heavy rare earth elements from a variety of commercial and consumer electronics in an  environmentally safe manner. Recycling of these rare earth elements will provide a needed alternative supply, the companies said.
