Canadian waste and recycling firm Emterra Group has purchased more than 40 compressed natural gas (CNG) waste trucks to serve the greater Toronto area.

Burlington, Ontario-based Emterra bought the trucks from Dodge Center, Minn.-based McNeilus Truck & Manufacturing Inc., which will deliver the trucks beginning later next year, according to a news release.

The trucks are McNeilus’ Split-Body Rear Loader refuse vehicles. They are designed for dual-stream waste collection.
