Alcoa Announces UBC Supplier Quality Award Winners

Knoxville, Tenn. – Alcoa Rigid Packaging has selected 16 companies as winners of the Alcoa used beverage containers (UBC) Supplier Quality Award. The company acknowledges suppliers nominated by Alcoa Recycling Co. and Anheuser-Busch Recycling, St. Louis, for eliminating contaminants from UBC shipments.

Repeat winners this year are Abitibi Consolidated, Chandler, Ariz.; Consolidated Recycling Corp., Worcester, Mass.; L. Knife & Son, Kingston, Mass.; Morristown Iron and Metals Inc., Morristown, Tenn.; Mid America Recycling, Des Moines, Iowa; and Quality Beverage, Taunton, Mass.

The remaining winners are Alter Trading, Davenport, Iowa; Belleville Recycling, Belleville, Ill.; Can Pac Recycling, Omaha, Neb.; Cash A Can, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Cooper Recycling, Livingston, Tenn.; J.T. Knight Inc., Columbus, Ga.; Material Recycling Inc., Evansville Ind.; Pepsi of Olean, Olean, N.Y.; T&T Recycling, Hurst Ill.; Union Beer Distributor Inc., Brooklyn, N.Y.
