If you're a golfer near Scottsdale, Ariz., and plan on hitting the links today, this may motivate you to chase down that slice into the deep rough. As part of a weekend promotion through today (Jan. 9), Tempe, Ariz.-based Dixon Golf, the first company to market a completely recyclable golf ball, is rewarding he first 100 people each day who recycle at least one dozen golf balls with a general admission pass to the Waste Management Phoenix Open (also known as "The Greatest Show on Grass"). According to ABC15 News in Phoenix, those who bring in the most balls each day will get a pair of Member's Club passes to the event, held Jan. 30 - Feb. 5, 2012. Last year during a similar promotion, the company collected more than 144,000 balls, used to create displays for the upcoming tournament.
