Casella Opens Recycling Facility in Vermont

Casella Waste Systems Inc. has opened a single-stream recycling facility in its headquarters city of Rutland, Vt.

The single-stream recycling plant, which Casella calls zero-sort facilities, covers 57,000 square feet, the company said in a news release.

Casella has hauling, recycling and landfill operations in 15 northeastern states. The company said it disposes of 3 million tons of solid waste annually.
