EIA Awards Leaders at Inspirational Breakfast

New Orleans -- The Environmental Industry Association (EIA), Washington, D.C., recognized industry leaders for their contributions and commitments during its inspirational breakfast held at WasteExpo on June 3.

Inducted into the EIA's Hall of Fame included Wayne Huizenga, Republic Services Inc., Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; Frederick Leach, Leach Co., Oshkosh, Wis.; Harry Kletter, Industrial Services of America, Louisville, Ky.; and Robert Stearns, SCS Engineers, Long Beach, Calif. Other awards given included Driver of the Year; NSWMA Distinguished Service; Special Governors Award; and WASTEC's Member of the Year, Distinguished Service and Employees of the Year.

This year’s inspirational speaker was Roger Crawford. Known as an international speaker and author, Crawford was the first severely handicapped athlete to compete in a NCAA Division 1 college sport.
