Heil Environmental Industries, Chattanooga, Tenn., has appointed Michael Jobe president of the company. Jobe says his leadership will help Heil through a staggering economy in which competitors have been growing consistently more innovative with their designs and methods of attaining capital.
“Like many companies, we are facing a weak economy and an even weaker industry,” Jobe says. “Beyond that, we face an entirely new complexion of industry players and industry dynamics. We cannot become complacent.”
Jobe's background is in sales, marketing and administrative leadership. For 17 years, Jobe held various positions with Madison, Ind.-based Rotary Lift, a manufacturer of vehicle-lift systems. In 2000, he became president of the company. Heil and Rotary both are companies of Dover Industries, a subsidiary of the Dover Corp., New York.
As Heil president, Jobe will oversee the company's refuse equipment group; original equipment (OE) and after-market parts groups; Bayne Machine Works; and a truck equipment division. He will develop and implement Heil's overall strategic direction, emphasizing new products.
