Chattanooga, Tenn. – Heil Environmental Industries has appointed Michael Jobe president of the company. Since 2000, Jobe has been president of Madison, Ind.-based Rotary Lift, a manufacturer of vehicle-lift systems. Heil and Rotary both are Dover Industries, a subsidiary of the Dover Corp. As Heil president, Jobe will oversee the company’s refuse equipment group; OE and after-market parts groups; Bayne Machine Works; and a truck equipment division. His general task is to develop and implement Heil’s overall strategic direction during what Jobe calls a challenging time for Heil and the rest of the industry.

"Like many companies, we are facing a weak economy and an even weaker industry," Jobe said in a press release. "Beyond that, we face an entirely new complexion of industry players and industry dynamics. Competitors are becoming better capitalized and beginning to improve their designs and quality. We cannot become complacent." Jobe’s background mostly is in sales, marketing and administrative leadership.
