Heil to Consolidate Parts Business

Chattanooga, Tenn. -- Heil Environmental Industries says it will begin consolidating its original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and after-market parts business. The consolidation will merge the after-market parts company, Parts Inc., Piedmont, S.C., with Heil OEM Parts, which is under the umbrella of Heil Parts Central. Parts Central will sell Heil certified OEM parts as well as Parts Inc. after-market parts for Heil and other brands of refuse collection vehicles. Operation, sales, service, administration and management functions will be moved to Fort Payne, Ala., which already is the location of the Parts Central and Heil OEM Parts units. The company has scheduled March 31, 2004, as its completion date.
