NASA Seeks Input on Reducing Waste During Space Missions

NASA is planning to go to Mars, and it's looking to minimize ways to reduce waste during the mission.
The "Waste to Base" challenge solicits ideas about how to recycle trash, carbon dioxide and foam packaging materials.
Winners will receive up to $1,000 each for their ideas to convert waste into useful materials such as fuel.
