Rita Ugianskis, the longtime show director of WasteExpo, has assumed management of Penton Media’s entire waste franchise, which includes the tradeshow, Waste Age magazine and other events. The promotion was part of a series of moves within the waste franchise that Penton announced on Wednesday.

WasteExpo Sales Director Marc Acampora will also assume show management duties, and Kim Stolfi has been named marketing manager of the waste franchise. Waste Age Editor Stephen Ursery will now also assist the WasteExpo staff and the Environmental Industry Associations (NSWMA and WASTEC) in the preparation of the WasteExpo conference program, and he will also aid in the content planning for the Healthcare Waste Conference (formerly known as the Medical Waste Conference), the Waste Training Institute, the Waste Tech Landfill Technology Conference and the Global Waste Management Symposium.
