  • Deepal Eliatamby has been honored as the University of South Carolina, Columbia, Young Alumnus of 2003 for his design work, which includes solid waste management plans for 15 South Carolina counties.

  • Patricia Deese Stanton has been named director of renewable energy markets at Conservation Services Group (CSG) Westborough, Mass.

  • The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) has appointed Jen Sloane projects coordinator; Adam Tracey customer relations and programs coordinator; and David Helmecki technical programs manager.

  • Constantino Lannes has been appointed president of Charlotte, N.C.-based Sennebogen.

  • Jay Roszell, president of Volvo Construction Equipment North America, Asheville, N.C., is leaving Volvo to assume responsibility for distribution of Camp Hill, Pa.-based L.B. Smith's Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee branches. Denny Slagle, current president of L.B. Smith, will replace Roszell. Bill Cummins will replace Slagle as president. Lars-Goran Andersson is now chief financial officer of Volvo N.A. and Carl Lockwood is vice president of strategy and business development.

  • Leo Carden is the vice president of federal programs for St. Paul, Minn.-based Bay West Inc. Carden will manage the Huntsville, Ala., office.

  • Bill Moore has been elected president of the National Association of Demolition Contractors in Doylestown, Pa.

  • Barry Natwick has been appointed vice president of North America operations of Volvo Construction Equipment Rents, Asheville, N.C.

  • Gary Gerstenslager has been appointed general manager of the trailer suspension systems division for Hendrickson International in Woodridge, Ill.

  • Oakleaf Waste Management, East Hartford, Conn., has hired Richard Bisetti as president of the Refuse/Environmental (R/E) Systems Division, which opened June 1 in Springfield, Mass. Also, Rich DeYoung has joined the board of directors for Oakleaf Waste Management, East Hartford, Conn. DeYoung formerly was chief executive officer and president of American Disposal Services, Burr Ridge, Ill.

  • Mike Mouser has been named the new sales manager for Ely Enterprises, Cleveland.

  • The Environmental Quality Co., Wayne, Mich., has appointed Kenneth W. Wunderlich chief financial officer.

  • Larry G. Moore has joined Autocar, Hagerstown, Ind., as vice president strategic sourcing and quality.

  • Marathon Equipment Co., Vernon, Ala., has hired Joe Szany as director of horizontal baling systems sales. Szany will develop new baling equipment based on market trends.

  • Hallco Manufacturing Co., Tillamook, Ore., has promoted Kevin M. Pike to vice president of operations and Barbara Hurliman to marketing manager and tradeshow coordinator. Robert B. Fitzgerald will retire September after 17 years with the company.
