4. Owens Corning Notes 2021 Progress Toward 2030 Sustainability Goals

Insulation, roofing and fiberglass composite manufacturer Owens Corning has released its 16th sustainability report, highlighting the company's ambitions to "build a sustainable future through material innovation." The Toledo-based company provided details on its progress toward its 2030 goals, citing 16 topics shareholders have indicated are indicative to reducing Owen Corning's environmental footprint.

5. Kraft Heinz Virgin Plastics Reduction Commitment Announcement Pending

Kraft Heinz says it will announce “a substantial virgin plastic reduction commitment” no later than Q12023. It’s an ambition the corporation contends it’s been working on for two years.

This “announcement” of the “pending announcement” follows an agreement with As You Sow to set a new goal to reduce plastic packaging. The agreement comes after shareholders came to the nonprofit advocacy with concerns the food and beverage giant was not taking sufficient action to reduce plastic packaging.
