  • Shaw EMCON/OWT Inc., Baton Rouge, La., has acquired LFG&E International, San Diego.



Agreements

  • Green Power Energy Holdings Corp., Wilmington, N.C., and New Hanover County, N.C. have begun a three-month pilot program to recycle C&D debris.

  • Government Institutes (GI), Rockville, Md., will offer environmental training to the Air and Waste Management Association, Pittsburgh.

  • SAC Recycling Trucks, South Windsor, Conn., has appointed Easton, Md.-based Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems a distributor of the SAC product line for Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Eastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey.

  • The McKean County, Pennsylvania Solid Waste Authority has voted to negotiate a 20-year service agreement with Rutland, Vt.-based Casella Waste Systems to operate and develop the county's Subtitle D landfill.

  • North Wind, Idaho Falls, Idaho, and West Chester, Pa.-based Weston Solutions have entered into a small business administration mentor protégé agreement.

  • Waukesha Engine, Dresser Inc., Waukesha, Wis., has signed an agreement with TOSL Engineering, Trinidad, for distribution, service and commissioning of its natural gas fueled engines for the West Indies.
