Folsom, Calif. -- Waste Connections Inc., a solid-waste transfer, disposal and recycling company, will begin trading its shares on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) Oct. 24. Company officials say the NYSE is a more appropriate trading forum than the Nasdaq, which is mostly geared toward technological ventures. The company will be trading under the symbol "WCN." Until Oct. 24, the company will continue trading on Nasdaq under "WCNX."
