Waste Connections Gets Good Grade from S&P

New York -- Standard & Poor (S&P) said it has revised its outlook on Waste Connections Inc. from stable to positive. S&P also affirmed the company’s existing ratings, including the ‘BB’ corporate credit rating. Credit analysts at S&P say Folsom, Calif.-based Waste Connections is improving its business and financial profiles. According to S&P, Waste Connections’ rated debt is approximately $525 million. S&P also says Waste Connections has a leading presence in a number of growth markets and has a sturdier financial prognosis because of expected benefits from acquisitions.
