Curtis Bay Buys Waste Management New England Medical Waste Assets

Curtis Bay Medical Waste Services has purchased the Waste Management Inc. Healthcare Solutions medical waste processing facility assets and a customer service operation.

Curtis Bay, of Baltimore, said in a news release it acquired the Houston-based Waste Management’s customer service operation based in New England as well as the turnkey medical waste processing units. The buying price was not disclosed.

Curtis Bay operates a medical waste transfer station in Haverhill, Mass., and continues to expand its geographic footprint in the New England market. 

"The acquisition of the Waste Management Healthcare Solutions New England based operation is an opportunity for our growing organization to expand our medical waste customer base in the New England market," said Steve Groenke, Curtis Bay CEO.
