Greenpeace has released its ranking of the 20 U.S. grocery retailers’ efforts to reduce single-use plastics. The findings show that all of the supermarkets continue to fail to address the plastic pollution crisis and must prioritize plastic reduction efforts, engagement with suppliers and transparency with customers and the broader public.

Pittsburgh-based Giant Eagle was ranked the top retailer for its commitment to eliminate all single-use plastics by 2025. ALDI, Sprouts Farmers Market, The Kroger Company and Albertsons Companies were also listed in the top five retailers in the ranking.

H-E-B was ranked the worst retailer and Walmart fell to seventh place in this year’s ranking. In addition, Trader Joe’s was ranked 13th and Hy-Vee was ranked 16th.
