Advanced Disposal Services, Inc. selected Morris Logan as its 2010 Corporate Employee of the Year. Logan is shop supervisor at the company’s St. Johns County, Fla., location and has been with Jacksonville, Fla.-based Advanced Disposal since 2004.

Logan oversees Advanced Disposal’s residential and commercial maintenance operations in St. Johns County, maintaining, with a team of two mechanics, a fleet of 22 trucks.

“Morris takes special pride in everything he does and treats Advanced Disposal equipment as if it were his own,” said Chris Argon, maintenance manager for the company’s St. Johns County facility, in a press release. “Every day he has a smile on his face and is looking for the next challenge. Because of him, I believe Advanced Disposal is a better company and a safer one.”

Logan will receive a $500 gift card and will be formally recognized at next year’s Advanced Disposal Waste Expo District and General Managers Meeting. He and his wife, Daisy, will also receive an all expense paid trip to attend Waste Expo taking place in Dallas on May 9-11.

“Due to Morris’ attention to detail and overall excellent work performance, he is regularly asked to assist other Advanced Disposal locations to provide instruction and help in his area of expertise,” said Dave Lavender, regional vice president for Advanced Disposal, in the press release. “We are honored that he was selected from a field of 1,800 dedicated employees who work for Advanced Disposal.”
