The Board of Directors of the Environmental Research and Education Foundation (EREF) has voted unanimously to name Bryan Staley president-elect of the organization. Staley will assume full responsibility as president and CEO upon the retirement of Michael Cagney on Jan. 1, 2011.

“Bryan is uniquely qualified to lead the EREF going forward,” said Paul Mitchener, chairman of the EREF board, in a press release. “Before obtaining his doctorate at North Carolina State University early this year, he was a licensed consulting engineer for 13 years and he held key managerial positions as project manager, team leader and vice president of engineering. He is well-versed in project management issues and matters related to business management, personnel, and marketing.”

Staley has served as EREF’s vice president of environmental research since January 2009.
