Former Director of Knox County Solid Waste District Accused of Embezzling More Than $100K

Tracy A. Clinkenbeard, former director of the Knox County Solid Waste District in Knox County, Ind., is being accused of embezzling more than $100,000 between 2010 and 2015 for her personal gain. 

According to Indiana State Police, an investigation against Clinkenbeard began in October 2015 when board members noticed that funds were missing from Knox County's accounts. After a full investigation and an audit of Knox County's financial records, Clinkenbeard was arrested on Monday and taken to the Knox County jail, where she is currently being held on a $15,000 cash bond.
