The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is soliciting written comments regarding the agency's role in the measurement of materials in several waste streams, including municipal solid waste (MSW), construction and demolition (C&D) materials and non-hazardous industrial materials. Moreover, it is looking for guidance regarding the sustainable management of these materials through recycling, waste minimization and source reduction.

EPA has issued a Federal Register notice asking for comments on these aspects of measurement. All comments must be received by 4:30 p.m. ET, Aug. 31, 2011. More information, including how to submit comments, can be found here.
