Jacksonville, Fla.-based Advanced Disposal has purchased Sumrall, Miss.-based Sumrall Recycling Services. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Sumrall’s assets include material recovery facilities (MRFs) in Sumrall; Flowood, Miss.; Summerdale, Ala.; and an operations contract for a MRF in Franklin, Tenn.

“Advanced Disposal has always had a strong commitment to recycling through our extensive residential and commercial collection operations; however, the global climate is changing in many ways, and we see a more stable growth market emerging from the processing and marketing of recyclables,” said Charlie Appleby, Advanced Disposal’s CEO, in a press release. “The acquisition and integration of Sumrall Recycling with its highly experienced and respected personnel provides Advanced Disposal an effective platform in this critical market area.”
