Call2Recycle, a free rechargeable battery and cell-phone collection, has appointed Linda Biagioni to its Board of Directors. Biagioni is the vice president of environmental affairs for Black & Decker.

“Linda is a critical addition to our board during a significant phase of our evolution as manufacturers, program participants and policy makers alike are taking a keen interest in environmental sustainability,” said Carl Smith, president and CEO of the Atlanta-based Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corp., which operates Call2Recycle. “Her intimate knowledge of the battery industry, as well as her international experience on environmental issues, will bring a new perspective to our organization that is essential to enhancing our recycling program.”
