Chesapeake, Va., and TFC Recycling, the city’s recycling service provider, are offering a recycling incentive program to Chesapeake residents. Called Recycling Perks, the program rewards households for recycling with discounts to local businesses.

“The city of Chesapeake is extremely pleased to offer our residents the benefits of Recycling Perks,” said City Manager William E. Harrell in a press release. “Chesapeake residents have embraced recycling in a very positive and proactive manner, and we see this program as another way to help our residents while they help their community and environment.”

“While providing rewards to households who currently recycle, this program will also encourage others within the community to participate in recycling, as we all strive to become more environmentally conscious.”
