Vancouver Residents have New Recycling Option from Waste Connections

Residents of Vancouver, Canada now have the option to recycle items hard to process items that don't normally aren't collected as part of curbside recycling collection.

Waste Connections has launched the RecyclePlus program, a new service that will collect batteries, textiles, plastic bags, styrofoam and clamshells. Vancouver residents have the option of paying $10 per month for this new service, which was implemented in response to Seattle-based Ridwell entering the same market in June.

Residents will receive a kit including a lidded box and reusable cloth bags that will designate their participation in the RecyclePlus program.
