West Virginia County No Longer Recycles Plastics

Last year in Berkeley County, WV, residents were filling tractor trailers full of plastics and paper faster than they could be emptied.

Today, the county is halting the collection of all plastic containers and plastic bags because they are having trouble finding affordable markets for the recycled materials. The solution is more expensive than their budget can support.

The county tells residents that all plastic material should be disposed of with trash.
